Writing is Medicine

Poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction are powerful tools for personal growth and healing.  When we let our voices emerge as we write, we can experience health and wholeness of mind and body.

The nurturing and safe space of a writing circle where we share what we’ve written and listen deeply to the words of others, is both inspirational and fun.

Writing together motivates us to maintain a regular writing practice and supports us as we explore the boundless terrain of our innate creativity.

Kay Marie Porterfield, M.A. facilitates writing circles and workshops.  A professional writer for over 30 years, she has led circles for organizations including Hospice of Metro Denver, Hospice of St. John, Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors, Qual-Life Wellness Center, Black Hills Retreat Center, and Beyond Boundaries Pain Clinic. She is certified in the Amherst Writers and Artists Method.

    Hello Kay!
I am working with Pamela Hastings in turning her Hot Flash! book into an ebook (my how we’ve come since last we talked)….and came to page 14 and there you were. Think of you often.
